Let’s Address The Silent Crisis
On average American men live sicker and die younger than American women, the sad reality is too many men are not paying attention to their health. [1] In 1920 the life expectancy gender gap was only one year. Now, men, on average, die almost five years earlier than women. [2]
Many health conditions can be addressed with early detection, yet men are 100% LESS likely to visit the doctor for annual examinations than women. [3] And this means, men are less likely to prevent the onset of serious conditions. Translation: A Shorter Life
Together, let’s take action, men are our husbands, our fathers and our sons, our co-workers and our friends. Let’s open up the conversation and talk to our men about preventative health measures, and the importance of early detection, time is well overdue to close the gap.
